You will need:
This zipper works a little bit differently than the zipper I mentioned in my other zipper tutorial. By the way: this is not a scrap-tag tutorial. I am only explaining how the zipper works. But in case you like to know where the scraps in the picture come from: Sexy Plaid Nathy's kit. The Erosion alpha (R) was made by Melissa, previously Scrappy Expressions.
Okay, here we go.
- Start PSP.
- Open a new image, preferably with a dark background colour (92x382 px).
- Edit/copy this image.
- Launch Animation Shop.
- Right click in the workspace and Paste as New Animation. You will see 1 frame now.
- Duplicate this frame 9 times (Ctrl-Shift-L) for a total of 10 frames.
- Open the zipper-tube. This tube consists of 10 frames.
- Highlight all the frames in both animations (Ctrl-A).
- Use your mouse to drag the 1st frame of the zipper-animation to the 1st frame of the black image.
![]()
- Release the mouse-button. The zipper should be in the dark image and the zipper-animation should be empty.
Tip:
If the zipper is not in the right position, don't worry. Click on the undo-buttonto get rid of the zipper.
Click on the empty zipper-animation and then click on the undo button to get the zipper back.
- Edit/copy the black animation with the zipper.
- Edit/paste as a new animation.
- Select all the frames of the copied animation (keys Ctrl-A).
- Go to Animation > Reverse frames.
- Edit/copy the copied animation - the one with the reversed frames.
- Go to the original animation. Click on the last frame.
- Paste the copied animation after the original animation (Edit/Paste after current frame). Now you have 20 frames in total.
- Select all (keys Ctrl-A).
- Click on the View Animation button
to view the animation.
- If you like what you see, save as GIF.
